3. All entries must be received by 11:59 PM CST on January 1st, 2012
4. Completely fill out all required data fields on the registration form and submit the form
5. The recipe must consist of an original recipe using at least one Johnsonville Sausage product. Neither the ATA or Johnsonville Sausage is responsible for any problems or technical malfunctions that occur as a result of entering this contest. If for any reason the contest cannot be completed as planned, the ATA reserves the right in their sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify, delay or suspend the contest.
6. In the event of a dispute over who submitted a winning recipe, the holder of the email account from which the recipe was submitted will be declared the winner.
7. All entries and copyrights therein become the property of the American Tailgaters Association.
8. Electronic versions of recipes should be submitted using the online entry form. Hard copies of recipes may be mailed to the American Tailgaters Association, 29 East Oaks Road, North Oaks, Minnesota 55127.
9. Winner Selection: On or about January 2nd, 2012 a panel of judges will judge all eligible entries based on creative use of Johnsonville products, originality and ease of tailgate preparation. 25 semi-finalists will be determined in the sole discretion of the judges based on the above criteria. Between approximately January 5th and January 23rd , 2012 a panel of judges will prepare and taste each of the 25 semi finalist recipes. Each of the 25 recipes will be evaluated on originality, taste and ease of preparation. ON or about January 23rd, 2012, four finalists will be selected based on the above identified criteria. On championship weekend, each of the four finalist recipes will be prepared side by side and evaluated by a panel of judges based on the same criteria. A winner will be selected and announced at that time.
10. Prizing: Grand Prize - One grand prize winner will be awarded a premium tailgate package. Three runners up will be awarded runner-up tailgate packages.
11. Contest is open to anyone. Contest is void where prohibited or restricted by law. Employees of the American Tailgaters Association, Johnsonville Sausage and Lang BBQ Smokers are not eligible. By participating in the contest, entrants agree to be bound by these official rules and by the declarations of the American Tailgaters Association whose decisions are final in all matters relating to this contest.
12. All interpretations of the rules and decisions by the ATA are final. The ATA reserves the right, in their sole and unequivocal discretion, to disqualify any individual it finds or believes to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the website; to be acting in violation of the official rules; or to be acting in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner, or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person.
13. Arrangements for the fulfillment of the Grand Prize, and other prizes will be made by The ATA. The ATA reserves the right in its sole discretion to substitute the Grand Prize or other prizes, for any reason that The ATA deems necessary. All prizes are non-transferable. Upon receipt of any part of the prize, prize recipients are required to comply with any and all applicable federal, state and local laws, rules and regulations. All expenses, including taxes, on receipt and use of prizes are the sole responsibility of the winner.
14. Contestants hereby agree to submit their entries under the following terms and conditions: (i) that The ATA may use any ideas, concepts, material, in whole or in part, contained in an entry; (ii) that all materials submitted become the property of The ATA and will not be returned; (iii) that all materials submitted are free from any lien or claim by anyone; (iv) Entrants have obtained all rights, permissions and licenses necessary to use the entries for any purpose; (v) that no entry or any part thereof infringes any trademark or copyright or otherwise violates anyone’s right of privacy or publicity; and (vi) Entrants indemnify and hold harmless The ATA and Johnsonville Sausage from any claims, suits, losses, damages and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) that arise from any breach of the following conditions. They further agree, if chosen as Grand Prize Winner, or other prize winner, to assign all right, title and interest in all material and agree to sign such documentation as is necessary to formalize this assignment.
15. Notwithstanding the foregoing, entrants agree that their entry may be used by The ATA in whole or in part for any purpose whatsoever without compensation to non-prize winner entrants or without additional compensation to the winning entrants.
16. No purchase is necessary to enter.
